The Office of Plant Breeders ‘Rights is responsible for the management of the Department of Plant Breeders’ Rights and has the following responsibilities:
- Develop policies, strategies, directions and plans to strengthen the protection of crop breeders’ rights
- Prepare legal standards, procedures and regulations related to registration and management
- Authorization of crop breeders in the Kingdom of Cambodia
- Research and review the application form for granting rights to protect crop breeders
- Implement procedures for granting protection rights to crop breeders
- Implement procedures on international application for protection of new varieties of crops through international, regional and state-level cooperation.
- Manage the protection of the rights of protected plant breeders in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
- Prepare, compile, publish and publish in official newsletters and other means about the application form for the protection of crop breeders’ rights, research results or review the application form for the results of new varieties of crops, the issuance of certificates for the protection of breeders. Crops and other related work
- To perform other duties assigned by the head of the department.
