Representative Agent
In the event that the applicant has a permanent residence or significant business location outside the Kingdom of Cambodia, the applicant must be represented as an agent residing and practicing in the Kingdom of Cambodia and who Meets all specified conditions.
The agent shall perform the following ៖
- Pursuant to Article 116 of the Law, the appointment of a representative agent shall be made by a power of attorney signed by the applicant or by each applicant if there is more than one applicant. The address of the representative agency shall be deemed to be a contact address to send a message to one or more persons designating that agent for any purpose relating to the law and this proclamation and the relevant provisions.
- The power of attorney for the agency as stated in point 1 of this clause must be attached to the application form or which can be submitted within two (2) months from the date of registration of the application form.
- If the appointment of an agent is not carried out as stated in point 2 of this article and is not in accordance with Article 116 of the Law, any action taken by the agency other than filing an application for registration shall be deemed not to have been made.
- Requirements relating to the applicant’s representative agency as set out in point 1 of this article shall be governed by the specific provisions set by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.
